I got the trimmer head with the 1400 power head to replace my Victa Tornado 2 stroke petrol. I already knew the Ego gear was good as I’ve owned the mower for about 3 years but like wow! This trimmer has got way more power than I expected. Since my Victa had been out of action for a couple of months my garden was out of control with foot high weeds but the Ego plowed right through it. It’s got 2 speeds + a variable throttle. You really don’t need high speed unless it’s very thick growth & then you need some strength to actually hold onto it. It’s very solidly built & the battery lasts well (I used the 4ah battery that came with my mower). The petrol trimmer manufacturers should be seriously worried.
